Little Rock baseball team advances to Super Regional after defeating Jacksonville State

<p>In the 2026 NCAA Baseball Tournament, Little Rock, the No. 4 seed in the Hattiesburg regional, achieved an upset by defeating the host team Southern Miss, the No. 9 seed, in their opening game. Southern Miss was eliminated after losing to Virginia, which was subsequently defeated by Jacksonville State, setting up a matchup between Little Rock and Jacksonville State for a spot in the Super Regional.</p><p>Little Rock won the first game against Jacksonville State 6-4 and secured their advancement by winning the rematch 6-3, marking the first time the program has reached the Super Regional.</p><p>During the post-game celebrations, the team invited their bus driver, Kevin, onto the field to celebrate the historic win. Little Rock's next challenge will be a Super Regional series against Troy, who also advanced to their first Super Regional after defeating Florida, Rider, and Miami (Fla.) in their regional.</p>
