Carrot Top hospitalized following suicide attempt, 911 call reveals details

A 911 caller urged comedian Carrot Top, born Scott Christopher Thompson, to 'stay awake' during a suicide attempt at his Las Vegas home on September 18. The caller reported that Thompson was unconscious, with his feet hanging in the pool, and that his face was turning blue after he allegedly overdosed on prescription pills. The caller was instructed to lay Thompson on his back and monitor his breathing for CPR. As of Sunday, Thompson's representative stated he remains hospitalized but is awake, breathing on his own, and improving while surrounded by family. In court documents filed on the same day, Thompson's lawyer confirmed the suicide attempt and requested protective relief against his ex-opening act, Brian Evans, who allegedly attempted to extort Thompson over a sex tape. Evans denied the allegations, stating he never threatened to release any video. Thompson's residency at the Luxor Hotel and Casino has been canceled as he continues his recovery.
