Fox Host Critiques Trump for Meeting with NYC Mayor Mamdani

He remarked, "Yesterday in New York, a meeting of the minds between MAGA and socialism," during an episode of <i>The Will Cain Show</i>.</p><p>Citing comments from a lip-reader interviewed by the New York Post, Cain noted that Trump allegedly invited Mamdani to visit the White House to observe his work style during an off-mic exchange.</p><p>According to the lip-reader, Trump said, "What I will say, we’ll look after you, but as I say, you’re doing great. I’ll look after you, you look after the New Yorkers. And we can both make it work. I wanna support you, help me. Come with me to the White House—see how I work."</p><p>Cain interpreted this exchange as indicative of the growing relationship between Trump and Mamdani.</p><p>He referenced a Wall Street Journal opinion article titled "The Young MAGA Socialists Are Here," which suggested that some young conservatives are considering socialism as a means to achieve the American dream.</p><p>Citing the Journal, Cain stated, "Fifty-three percent of self-identified young conservatives, under the age of 40, support government-run grocery stores," and noted that 42 percent of young likely voters expressed a desire for a Democratic socialist to win the presidency in 2028.</p><p>The Daily Beast has reached out to the White House for comment.</p><p>Trump's meeting with Mamdani also drew criticism from Loomer, who questioned the optics of the meeting and suggested it rewarded disrespect towards the president.</p><p>Conservative radio host Sid Rosenberg expressed concern that the meeting could negatively impact Republican candidates in upcoming elections, stating, "This punk does not deserve the president’s respect. Meeting with this Jew hater on Yom Kippur? OMG. Please reconsider Mr. President!"</p><p>According to Axios, Trump and Mamdani have maintained a cordial relationship despite differing views on immigration and taxes, and they have kept in touch via text messages.</p>
