Fox News Poll Shows Voter Concerns Over Economy and Party Preferences

<p>According to a Fox News survey released on September 16, 2026, approximately 75% of voters have rated economic conditions negatively over the past year. The survey indicates that more than three times as many respondents feel they are falling behind financially compared to those who believe they are getting ahead. The poll also reveals that voters consider the Democratic Party to be better equipped to handle inflation, which is a primary concern for many.</p><p>The survey highlights that 61% of voters view gas prices as a major issue, an increase from 48% two years ago. Additionally, 52% of respondents consider healthcare costs to be a significant problem, up from 44%. Majorities also express concerns about housing costs (54%, down from 60%) and grocery prices (62%, down from 66%).</p><p>Views on tariffs have shifted, with 64% of respondents now believing that tariffs negatively impact the U.S. economy, an increase from 57% last summer. Most Democrats and independents share this view, while opinions among Republicans are mixed (41% believe tariffs help, 36% believe they hurt, and 21% see no difference).</p><p>Overall, nearly two-thirds of voters (63%) feel that the Trump administration has worsened the economy, including 25% of Republicans.
