<p class="wp-block-paragraph">White House Chief of Staff <a href="https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/tag/susie-wiles/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Susie Wiles</a> announced she was cancer-free in a social media post on September 16, 2026.</p>
<p class="wp-block-paragraph">“Thank you to my family, friends, doctors, and everyone who prayed for me, checked in, and supported me along the way,” she <a href="https://x.com/SusieWiles47/status/2100291216109871501?s=20" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">wrote</a> in a post on X.</p>

<p class="wp-block-paragraph">President <a href="https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/tag/donald-trump/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Donald Trump</a> announced Wiles, 69, had been <a href="https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/news/white-house/4492957/susie-wiles-diagnosed-early-stage-breast-cancer-trump/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">diagnosed</a> with early-stage breast cancer in March 2026, while she continued her role as White House Chief of Staff during treatment.</p>
<p class="wp-block-paragraph">“Her strength and her commitment to continue doing the job she loves, and does so well, while undergoing treatment, tells you everything you need to know about her,” Trump wrote on Truth Social at the time.</p>
<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Wiles is the first woman to serve as White House Chief of Staff and has been described by Trump as both the “ice maiden” and the most powerful woman in the world.</p>
<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Wiles is a former Florida-based lobbyist and political operative who led Gov. <a href="https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/tag/ron-desantis/" rel="noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">Ron DeSantis</a>'s (R-FL) 2018 campaign for governor. In 2024, she served as co-chair with Chris LaCivita of Trump’s successful comeback bid. She has been recognized for her management of the internal politics and personalities of the West Wing compared to her predecessors from Trump’s first term.</p>
<p class="wp-block-paragraph">Wiles also previously worked for Trump’s 2016 campaign in Florida before becoming a member of the president’s inner circle and one of his closest advisers and confidants.</p>
