Singer Cara Reports Assault Incident at Bibhu Mohapatra Fashion Show

During New York Fashion Week, singer-songwriter Cara reported an incident at Bibhu Mohapatra’s runway show where she claims to have been assaulted over a front row seat. According to sources, organizers had escorted Cara to a seat that belonged to another attendee, who then expressed anger over the situation. An eyewitness stated that the other woman insisted it was her seat and made a scene, claiming she had 'sold her soul' to secure it. A fashion veteran reportedly told Cara that she was being inappropriate for sitting in the seat. Cara alleged that another woman physically pulled her from the seat, causing her to wake up with a bruise on her arm, which she attributed to the woman's nails. An onlooker described the incident as 'ridiculous,' asserting that there was no assault or physical altercation. The woman accused of assault spoke anonymously, stating that she only touched Cara lightly to help resolve the situation and was surprised by Cara's reaction. She expressed frustration over the incident, saying it was unnecessary and that she would prefer to watch fashion shows online in the future. Cara later attended another fashion show covered up due to her bruise. A representative for Mohapatra’s show did not provide a comment.
