Attorney General Todd Blanche Supports Trump's Criticism of Supreme Court Decision on Mail-In Voting

Attorney General Todd Blanche stated on Tuesday that it was appropriate for President Donald Trump to express his dissatisfaction with the Supreme Court's decision to reject changes he proposed for mail-in voting. Blanche made these comments during a White House briefing held in the Rose Garden. "He is very frustrated," Blanche said. "He has every right and, indeed, he should communicate his concerns with the Supreme Court whenever he has them. This isn't the first time that he's done it, and it won't be the last." Blanche confirmed that the administration would comply with the Supreme Court's ruling. Trump expressed on social media that the justices who ruled against his mail-in voting plans were different from the candidates he had interviewed during the nomination process. Blanche added that Trump's criticisms do not compromise the independence of the Supreme Court.
