Donald Trump Jr.'s wife confirms Russian oligarch hosted post-wedding festivities

Bettina Anderson, the wife of Donald Trump Jr., confirmed via Instagram that Russian oligarch Umar Kremlev hosted some of their post-wedding festivities on a private island in the Bahamas as a wedding gift. This confirmation follows a report from ProPublica titled "Donald Trump Jr.'s Bahamas wedding was secretly bankrolled by Russian oligarch close to Putin." Anderson described Kremlev, who is the secretary general of the International Boxing Federation and an ally of Russian President Vladimir Putin, as "our dear friend" and stated that he hosted two nights of celebrations after their wedding, which was attended only by family. President Trump did not attend the wedding due to his responsibilities in Washington. Anderson explained that the celebrations were planned in advance and were not originally intended to coincide with their wedding. She expressed gratitude for Kremlev's generosity, stating, "It was an extraordinarily generous wedding gift from a friend, and something for which we were and remain incredibly grateful." She emphasized that their friendship does not have a political motive and insisted there was "NO CONSPIRACY." Forbes estimates Donald Trump Jr.'s net worth at approximately $300 million. Kremlev's press office stated that he and Trump Jr. have a friendly relationship and first met a couple of years ago, adding that he has never discussed political matters with his American friends.
