Trump Asserts He is the Only Necessary Control for AI Amid Calls for Regulation

President Donald Trump has stated that there is a conspiracy against artificial intelligence and data centers, responding to increasing demands for more regulation on AI development. In a post on Truth Social, Trump claimed, "The only control or 'guardrails' that AI needs is a STRONG AND SMART (High IQ!) PRESIDENT, and the U.S.A. has that, in spades!" He asserted that his administration has prevented leaders of AI companies from engaging in harmful activities but did not provide specific examples of such actions. Trump further commented on the situation, saying, "There is a SICK conspiracy going on against AI and Data Centers, and the only one that is happy about it is China … We are leading China, and all others, and will continue to do so.
