NTSB Provides Update on B-767 Runway Excursion Investigation in Miami

WASHINGTON (Sept. 9, 2026) — The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) is providing an update on its investigation into the Sept. 6 runway excursion accident involving 21 Air Flight 7598, a Boeing 767-33A cargo airplane, at Miami International Airport. The information from the cockpit voice recorder (CVR) and flight data recorder (FDR) is preliminary and subject to change. A summary of select events captured on the CVR during the final few minutes of the recording is provided below. All times are referenced relative to the end of the CVR recording.
