But it also attracts an underbelly that people want to pretend doesn’t exist." He mentioned that he has homes in both New York and Los Angeles and enjoys certain aspects of the West Coast city.</p><p>The comedian is currently directing an independent film titled "Misty Green," which focuses on a former actress in Los Angeles who is now struggling financially. He highlighted the stark contrasts in the city, pointing out that there are luxury homes displayed in real estate windows while homelessness persists nearby.</p><p>Rock also reflected on the incident at the 2022 Academy Awards when he was slapped by Will Smith, expressing a desire that it had not occurred. He remarked on the broader issues facing society, stating, "We walk by homeless people. There’s all sorts of s--t going on right now. Me having a bad day is not the biggest — it’s not that important." He concluded by mentioning that he would only return to the Oscars if he were nominated, acknowledging the likelihood of that happening.</p>
