Five Injured in Scaffolding Collapse at Skywalker Ranch

A collapse of scaffolding and display screens at Skywalker Ranch, owned by filmmaker George Lucas, resulted in five injuries, one of which was serious, on Monday. The incident occurred during setup for an event at Summit Skywalker Ranch in Nicasio, Marin County, according to NBC Bay Area. One individual sustained a head injury and was transported to the hospital in very serious condition. Another individual became trapped under LCD screens, prompting emergency responders to use airbags to lift the collapsed structure. Three of the injured were taken to local hospitals. The Marin County Fire Department, San Rafael Fire Department, and Novato Fire Department all responded to the scene. The cause of the collapse is currently under investigation. Skywalker Ranch, located north of San Francisco, is known for housing Lucasfilm's sound design and audio post-production facility, Skywalker Sound, which includes a variety of specialized studios and theaters.
