Sept. 7 (UPI) — Shailene Woodley, Betty Gilpin, and the late Rob Reiner received awards at the second of this month’s three Emmy Awards ceremonies held in Los Angeles on Sunday night. Woodley won the award for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama for her role in Paradise, while Gilpin earned the prize for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Comedy for Widow’s Bay. Reiner was awarded Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy for his performance in The Bear. Reiner and his wife Michele were killed in their home last December, allegedly by their son Nick, who is currently awaiting trial. Remarkably Bright Creatures was recognized as Outstanding Movie. Widow’s Bay won a total of eight awards, and DTF St. Louis received six awards, including Outstanding Supporting Actor and Actress for David Harbour and Linda Cardellini, respectively. FXX will air highlights from the Saturday and Sunday Emmy shows on Sept. 12, with the program available for streaming on Hulu the following day. The 78th Emmys telecast, which will announce the winners in the top categories, is scheduled to air on Sept. 14 on NBC and stream on Peacock.
