Humanitarian Official Discusses Conditions for Palestinians in Gaza and West Bank

Athena Rayburn, the executive director of the Association of International Development Agencies, discussed the challenges faced by Palestinians in the occupied West Bank and Gaza Strip during an episode hosted by Steve Clemons. In Gaza, over two million Palestinians are concentrated in an area of approximately 104 square kilometers (40 square miles), where they face ongoing bombardment from Israeli forces. Access to essential resources such as clean water, food, electricity, medicine, and adequate shelter is severely limited due to strict restrictions on humanitarian aid imposed by Israel. While the United States-backed Board of Peace claims to be making progress, Rayburn characterized the situation as 'untenable and catastrophic.'
