Barbara Eden withdraws from Cinecon Classic Film Festival due to illness

Actress Barbara Eden has withdrawn from her scheduled appearance at the Cinecon Classic Film Festival due to a sudden illness. Event organizers announced on Facebook on Saturday that Eden would no longer be able to attend in person. They expressed regret over her cancellation, noting that she had been looking forward to the event. The festival team stated, "We know how many of you were excited to welcome Barbara. We appreciate your understanding and join you in sending her our best wishes for a speedy recovery." Although Eden will not be present, the festival will still honor her with the Cinecon Legacy Award, which will be accepted on her behalf by her co-star Pat Boone. Eden, 95, is best known for her role as Jeannie in the NBC sitcom "I Dream of Jeannie," which aired from 1965 to 1970. The series included 139 episodes across five seasons. Eden's career spans over seven decades, and she has shared insights into her fitness routine, mentioning her transition to lighter workouts during the COVID-19 pandemic. Eden has been married to Jon Eicholtz since 1991 and has a son, Matthew Ansara, from her first marriage, who passed away in 2001.
