Defense Attorney Comments After Mistrial Declared in Lindsay Clancy Case

Outside the courthouse, Lindsay Clancy's defense attorney, Kevin Reddington, criticized a juror whom he believes obstructed the path to an acquittal. Reddington stated, "They know they were robbed by one man, for whatever his agenda was, who stole seven weeks of the life of these other jurors that were so attentive, so beautiful, so wonderful. You could see how defeated they were sitting there. I got a funny feeling they would have gone on for another week if they had to. So I hope that guy can sleep well at night." He added, "She deserved an acquittal." Reddington expressed respect for the judge, referring to him as "Sully" and stating, "He's a great guy. He was a wonderful defense lawyer before he became a judge. Everybody loves him, he's a fair guy." He also mentioned his affection for Clancy, saying, "she's like a daughter to me." In response to a reporter's comment about the focus on Clancy's children, Reddington acknowledged, "My client is well aware of the fact that her three kids, who she loved dearly, are the victims in this case."
