James Orr Resigns After Undercover Investigation into Political Donations

Orr, who previously served as a senior aide to British politician Nigel Farage, was recorded discussing the acceptance of donations from a foreign national via a middleman, as reported by <a href="https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2026/sep/04/nigel-farage-aides-step-down-reform-uk-investigation-political-donation-rules-breach" rel="" target="_self" title="https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2026/sep/04/nigel-farage-aides-step-down-reform-uk-investigation-political-donation-rules-breach">The Guardian</a>.</p><p>In the United Kingdom, it is illegal for political parties to receive funds from non-British citizens.</p><p>Orr, 48, and Vance, 42, had a close relationship, having met frequently at conferences prior to Vance's vice presidency. The investigation included footage of Farage meeting with an alleged U.S. donor.</p><p>Initially, Orr and his colleagues denied the allegations, claiming they were victims of a hoax by foreign-funded activists.
