Maria Bartiromo's Lawyer Denies Reports of Her Ouster from Fox News

Fox News confirmed in a statement that "Maria Bartiromo is no longer with FOX News Media."</p><p>Freedman claims he possesses evidence to support his assertion that Bartiromo, who had been with the network for 12 years, was not abruptly terminated, although he did not provide this evidence in a statement to the Daily Beast.</p><p>In his statement, Freedman said, "The irresponsible reports that have been published stating that Maria Bartiromo was fired or is no longer an employee of Fox are absolutely and unequivocally false. Make no mistake, we have the receipts and witnesses, and they will come out whether through the courthouse or otherwise."</p><p>He further stated, "Those reporting her firing or the incredulous facts supporting that fiction have exhibited a complete and utter reckless disregard for the truth." Fox News did not respond to a request for comment regarding Freedman’s statements.</p><p>Bartiromo's departure follows a three-week absence from the air. Sources indicated that her firing was related to her informing the White House about Fox’s internal instructions regarding the promotion of President Donald Trump’s election conspiracies.</p><p>Additionally, reports suggest that Bartiromo's exit was influenced by various factors, including editorial disagreements about the direction of her shows. Sources noted that her staff had been concerned about the future of her programs since August.</p>
