Lindsay Clancy's Lawyer Requests Removal of Juror in Murder Case

Lindsay Clancy's lawyer, Kevin Reddington, expressed frustration on Thursday as he sought the removal of a juror in her murder trial. Reddington was visibly upset before a sidebar discussion with Judge William Sullivan. Clancy appeared somber during the proceedings. After the sidebar, Reddington forcefully addressed the judge, stating, "There’s one juror who refuses to listen to the law that you’ve given him or her on reasonable doubt." He criticized the judge's previous instruction to the jurors, arguing it was not adequate. Reddington warned that a mistrial could result if the juror did not adhere to the court's instructions. The jury, consisting of nine women and three men, has been deliberating for approximately 36 hours over six days. Reddington has argued for Clancy's acquittal based on her claim of experiencing severe postpartum psychosis, which he says led her to believe she was instructed to commit the acts in question.
