Hugh Jackman expresses interest in purchasing Norwich City football club

Hugh Jackman, known for his role as Wolverine, has expressed interest in owning a stake in Norwich City, a football club in the English Championship. This comes after his fellow actor Ryan Reynolds purchased Wrexham. Jackman, who has a personal connection to Norwich as it is his mother's hometown, discussed his interest during an interview with British broadcaster TalkSport while promoting his new movie, The Death of Robin Hood. He stated, "I’m very, very interested in talking about it right now," when asked about the possibility of buying a part of the club, which is primarily owned by Mark Attanasio, the principal owner of the Milwaukee Brewers. Jackman acknowledged Reynolds' success with Wrexham, saying, "Good on Ryan. You do your thing. I’m all about the Canaries," referring to Norwich's nickname. Norwich City and Wrexham are currently rivals in the English second-tier Championship, with Norwich having a more storied history, including a notable victory over Bayern Munich in the 1993 UEFA Cup. Jackman praised Norwich's recent performance under Belgian coach Philippe Clement, stating, "I think it’s an exciting team and it’s going to be an exciting year."
