Trump to Campaign for Republican Candidates in 35 Races Ahead of Midterms

Trump noted that he is focusing on competitive races, saying, "If you’re leading by 40 points and you’ve been there for 25 years, please don’t ask me to come to your area and make a speech, right?" Earlier in the day, Trump indicated that he would assist his party despite not being affected by the election, stating, "I’m not affected by the election. No. 1, I’m not running.
