Florida GOP Candidate Removes References to Trump from Campaign Website

Previously, Beltran’s website highlighted his support for Trump, stating he had “stood with President Trump every step of the way.”</p><p>According to the <a href="https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/news/campaigns/congressional/4706796/florida-gop-house-candidate-removes-pro-trump-mentions-campaign-website/" rel="">Washington Examiner</a>, the updated website now mentions Trump only sparingly. It states, “Mike stands 100 percent with President Trump on immigration,” but has removed other significant endorsements and mentions of Trump’s policies.</p><p>Previously, Beltran’s website included statements about supporting Trump’s “big, beautiful” megabill and the Working Families Tax Cut, which aimed to provide tax relief for families. Following the primary, however, these references were largely eliminated.</p><p>Beltran’s campaign did not respond to a request for comment. In a statement to The Examiner, a spokesperson emphasized Beltran's support for Trump while criticizing Democratic candidate Kathy Castor for her voting record.</p><p>Beltran’s social media continues to feature images of him with Trump, despite the changes on his campaign website. Trump did not endorse any candidate in the Republican primary for the district, which Castor has represented since 2013.</p><p>Beltran is not the only Republican candidate to distance themselves from Trump recently; similar updates have been noted for candidates such as Ralph Alvarado and Andy Barr in Kentucky, and James Gallagher in California.</p><p>In July, Pennsylvania Representative Ryan Mackenzie also updated his campaign website to remove references to Trump and MAGA talking points.</p>
