Trump told Fox News, “If they retaliate, they’ll be hit much harder. And if they do it again, they’ll be no longer.”</p>
<p>His comments followed the U.S. military's announcement of new strikes against Iran, which occurred on the same day. The strikes were aimed at IRGC targets near the Strait of Hormuz and came after a month-long pause in airstrikes between the two nations.</p>
<p>According to U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM), the strikes were a response to recent attempted attacks by the IRGC against commercial shipping and American service members in the region. Trump also mentioned in a Truth Social post that the military was targeting IRGC positions.</p>
<p>In his post, Trump stated, “If the failed Nation of Iran retaliates for this very justified attack, they will be hit again at a much harder and higher level.” He added that a larger attack was planned, which he claimed would leave “very little left of the Islamic Republic of Iran.”</p>
<p>The U.S. State Department Bureau of Consular Affairs issued a warning for Americans in the Middle East, advising them to exercise heightened vigilance due to the complex security environment and potential for escalation following the U.S. attack.</p>
<p>Trump characterized the Iranian regime as “crazy” and “stupid,” asserting that any agreement with them “isn’t worth the paper it’s written on.” He also commented on the IRGC's attempts to rebuild their radar systems, stating, “We waited until it was almost built and then we hit it.”</p>
<p>The Iranian state-affiliated outlet Fars News Agency reported that its journalists observed Iranian missiles firing at enemy missiles on the same day.</p>
