Israeli air attacks in Gaza result in multiple casualties

At least four people have been killed and several others wounded in Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip, according to health officials. A medical source at al-Shifa Hospital reported that at least three individuals, including two children, were killed and eight others were wounded in an Israeli drone attack in the al-Kateeba district west of Gaza City on Tuesday morning. Images shared online depicted smoke rising from the area, accompanied by the sound of successive explosions. Al Jazeera’s Hani Mahmoud, reporting from Gaza City, noted the presence of at least 13 drones in the area during the attack. He stated, "For 35 minutes there were nonstop attacks involving drones, three of them hovering at a dangerously low level." Mahmoud also mentioned that security personnel on the ground observed a group of special forces engaged in a direct exchange of fire amidst the intense aerial coverage. In a separate incident in central Gaza, an Israeli attack in Deir el-Balah resulted in the death of at least one person, as reported by Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital, which did not provide additional details. The Israeli military stated that it targeted several locations in Gaza, claiming the strikes aimed to eliminate threats to its forces. Channel 12, an Israeli television station, reported that explosions were heard throughout the Strip, while the Palestinian news network Quds indicated that missiles and quadcopter drones were utilized in the attacks. Since the resumption of hostilities in October 2025, Israel has killed at least 1,320 Palestinians and injured more than 4,300.
