House Republicans Request Investigation Into Journalist Max Blumenthal Following Iran Trip

<p>A group of House Republicans has requested that the Trump administration investigate Max Blumenthal, editor of The Grayzone, after he attended the funeral of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in Iran. The request was made by Rep. Randy Fine (R-FL) in a letter sent to Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Attorney General Todd Blanche, co-signed by Reps. Keith Self (R-TX) and Randy Weber (R-TX), as reported by Laura Loomer.</p><p>The letter builds on a previous request made in July, which sought scrutiny of other activists who attended the same funeral, describing the event as organized by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, designated as a Foreign Terrorist Organization by the U.S.</p><p>The lawmakers accuse Blumenthal of using journalism to promote propaganda that benefits U.S. adversaries. They reference his past comments regarding the October 7 attacks, claiming he denied the atrocities and labeled some details as "manufactured" by the Israeli government.
