Parent Cited for Disorderly Conduct After Tripping Child During Youth Football Game in Wisconsin

<p>During a U-10 football game in Mount Pleasant, Wisconsin, on August 26, 2026, a parent rushed the field and tripped a 9-year-old player who was attempting to score a touchdown. The incident occurred as the child was running toward the pylon when the parent extended his leg, causing the child to fall.</p><p>The individual who tripped the child was later located by Mount Pleasant police and received a citation for disorderly conduct. According to reports from FOX 6, the man admitted to wrongdoing and cooperated with law enforcement. Channing Schultz, the coach of the affected player, stated that the parent had intended to harm the child.</p><p>Schultz remarked, "I have seen adults fight, I have seen fights at youth events, I have seen stuff happen, but I have never in my life seen a grown man come on the field. He was so committed and determined to hurt – he wanted to hurt him. He had nothing but intent." The player’s team, the Case Eagles, is scheduled to play against the Milwaukee Colts again in two weeks, and the Colts have banned the parent from attending games.
