Kamala Harris addresses midterm elections, faces criticism for using familiar rhetoric

<p>Former Vice President Kamala Harris warned that Republicans are "trying to cheat" in the upcoming midterm elections while using a phrase popularized by former President Donald Trump. In a video posted on X, Harris urged Democrats to vote, stating, "We are two months away from the midterms. Get out and vote. Let’s get everyone out to vote. They are cheating."</p><p>Harris continued, "They are trying to cheat, and we have got to turn out in big numbers and be too big to rig. I’ll see you out there." Trump has used the phrase "too big to rig" during his 2024 campaign, which followed his claims of election fraud after the 2020 election.</p><p>Critics responded to Harris's remarks, with Andrew Kolvet, a spokesman for Turning Point USA, stating, "Kamala Harris has never had an original thought in her life." Another account, End Wokeness, commented on the video’s editing, saying, "47 seconds. 15 jump cuts. She must be high as a kite." Conservative commentator Shawn Farash remarked, "Nice to know she's still stealing Trump's ideas," while Turning Point show host Jobob Taeleifi noted, "Sounds familiar."</p><p>In her video, Harris referenced a recent Supreme Court ruling that allowed parts of Trump's mail-voting order to proceed amid ongoing legal challenges. A federal judge had temporarily blocked the Postal Service from enforcing new mail-ballot requirements, which could affect voter participation in the upcoming elections.</p><p>Harris criticized Trump's mail-voting policies, stating, "By the way, he votes by mail from Mar-A-Lago, but he doesn’t want you to vote by mail. Just this week the U.S. Supreme Court backed up the president’s agenda. He’s trying to make it more difficult for you to vote by mail."</p><p>Fox News Digital reached out to Harris for comment.</p>
