A 41-year-old man was cited for disorderly conduct after tripping a 9-year-old football player during a youth league game in Racine, Wisconsin, on Saturday. The incident occurred when the child, wearing No. 88 for the Case Eagles, was running to score a touchdown. The child's coach, Channing Schultz, described the act as the "most cowardly act I’ve ever seen" and expressed relief that the boy was not seriously injured. Schultz stated, "The way he kicked my little guy. His leg could’ve broke. His shin could’ve broke."
The suspect reportedly became upset over a play and intervened on the field, leading to both the player and the adult falling to the ground. After fleeing the scene, the man admitted to his actions during a traffic stop, resulting in a citation.
