District Attorney confirms video evidence in Josh Jacobs' domestic incident case

<p>The District Attorney who charged Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs with two domestic misdemeanors on Thursday released a statement regarding new evidence, which has been identified as surveillance video related to the alleged battery incident.</p><p>Following an investigation at the scene of the alleged battery involving Jacobs and his ex-girlfriend, District Attorney David L. Lasee stated that further evidence was obtained.</p><p>A security camera located in Jacobs' garage reportedly captured footage of the physical altercation between him and his ex-girlfriend.</p><p>The incident report from Lasee's office indicates that the ex-girlfriend, referred to as ANM, told officers that Jacobs grabbed her and threw her to the ground, resulting in an injury to her head.</p><p>According to the report, Jacobs then took her phone while she was on the ground, and ANM struggled to walk back into the house afterward.</p><p>Lasee's report confirms that this incident is documented on video.</p><p>The surveillance footage from the garage camera, dated May 23, 2026, between 8:30 a.m. and 8:38 a.m., corroborates parts of ANM's statement, showing both individuals leaving and returning to the residence, as well as their actions captured by the security camera.</p><p>The video reportedly shows Jacobs taking ANM's phone while she was on the floor and returning approximately 40 seconds later, appearing to damage her phone.</p><p>The video is currently not available for independent review and will be used as evidence in the case against Jacobs.</p><p>Jacobs was charged with one count of misdemeanor battery and one count of criminal damage to property on Thursday.</p><p>He turned himself in to police on May 26, three days after the incident at his home in Hobart, Wisconsin.</p><p>The case has been publicly debated, with Jacobs' legal team asserting that he will be exonerated of the allegations.</p><p>However, the existence of video evidence showing Jacobs allegedly getting physical with his ex-girlfriend may complicate his legal situation and impact his status as an NFL player.</p><p>The NFL has a history of addressing incidents of domestic violence among its players, as seen in past cases.</p><p>The District Attorney's office reviewed additional reports related to the incident, including a digital forensic examination of devices recovered from Jacobs' residence.</p><p>The Packers issued a statement acknowledging the charges against Jacobs, stating, "We are aware of the charges brought against Josh Jacobs. We will continue to cooperate with the NFL as we work through the process. We will have no further comment at this time."</p><p>The NFL's investigation into the matter is ongoing, and Jacobs may face disciplinary action under the Personal Conduct Policy.</p>
