Fox News Host Will Cain Apologizes to Jaime Harrison After On-Air Disagreement

The incident occurred during Cain's show on Tuesday, where he questioned Harrison about the influence of democratic socialists within the Democratic Party.</p><p>Harrison, who expected to discuss the South Carolina Republican primary held that night, expressed frustration when the conversation shifted focus. He responded to Cain's accusations of making an "inflammatory" statement by stating, "You invite somebody to come on your show to talk about the South Carolina Republican primary, and you don’t even talk about the South Carolina Republican primary. This is the reason why you guys are disingenuous."</p><p>Cain countered by suggesting that Harrison was "tilting at windmills" as both spoke over each other. He later clarified, "If my staff told you we would talk about the Senate... and the Republican primary, then I apologize. I was under no pretense that I’d be talking to you today about a Republican primary."</p><p>On Wednesday, Cain addressed the situation, stating, "I want to clean something up from yesterday." He acknowledged that while no explicit promise was made regarding the interview's focus, it was a reasonable expectation based on prior communication. Cain admitted to a breakdown in communication and took responsibility for it, saying, "I understand why you felt misled. I know what it’s like, what it feels like, if you thought you were ambushed on TV, and I understand why you were angry. And for that, I owe you an apology."</p><p>Harrison did not respond immediately to a request for comment. Prior to Cain's apology, Harrison had expressed his dissatisfaction on social media, stating, "y’all can lose my number," and criticized the interview's premise, emphasizing that he would have been willing to discuss the Democratic Party if invited under honest pretenses.</p>
