LaMelo Ball hires personal driver after road incidents, according to brother Lonzo

<p>LaMelo Ball, a guard for the Minnesota Timberwolves, has decided to employ a personal driver following multiple road incidents, as stated by his brother, Lonzo Ball. This decision comes amid LaMelo's notable car collection, which has gained attention since his rise in the NBA.</p><p>During a recent episode of the "Curious Mike" podcast, Lonzo discussed family spending habits, indicating that LaMelo spends the most money among the siblings. "The one who has the most, LaMelo," Lonzo said, noting that LaMelo owns ten cars.</p><p>Lonzo suggested that having a driver could reduce LaMelo's time behind the wheel and potentially decrease the likelihood of accidents. He also recommended that LaMelo consider vehicles outside of the high-performance category, such as Lamborghinis.</p><p>Lonzo commented on LaMelo's habits regarding expensive cars, saying, "He'll buy a $1 million car and then just immediately f–k it up. I've never understood that." He expressed confusion over LaMelo's tendency to damage newly purchased vehicles.</p><p>Lonzo addressed perceptions of LaMelo's driving incidents, clarifying that while LaMelo does not get into accidents, he has experienced numerous situations on the road.</p><p>Lonzo Ball was selected second overall in the 2017 NBA Draft by the Los Angeles Lakers and has played for several teams, including the New Orleans Pelicans and Chicago Bulls. He has faced significant injuries throughout his career, spending over two years sidelined. Reflecting on his injuries, Lonzo mentioned, "It was like a 1,000 and something days," and acknowledged the possibility of not returning to his previous athletic level.</p><p>LaMelo was selected third overall in the 2020 NBA Draft by the Charlotte Hornets and was traded to the Timberwolves in June 2026 in exchange for Naz Reid and multiple draft picks.</p>
