Kurt Busch, a NASCAR Hall of Famer, spoke about how racing helps him cope with the loss of his brother, Kyle Busch, who passed away in May at the age of 41 due to complications from severe pneumonia that progressed into sepsis. In an interview on 'The Big Weekend Show,' Kurt expressed that he feels his brother's presence when racing, stating, 'I see my brothers in the racing world.'
Kurt's comments followed his participation in the Freedom 250 Grand Prix and the inaugural celebration of 'Kyle Busch Day' on August 18, honoring the late NASCAR icon. He mentioned that racing serves as a way to cope with his brother's death, saying, 'I don't know really how to cope with it other than getting in the car and going racing.'
The loss of Kyle came shortly after another tragedy in the NASCAR community, the death of Kurt's friend and fellow driver Greg Biffle in a plane crash in December. Kyle Busch is survived by his wife Samantha and their two children, including 11-year-old son Brexton, who may inherit his father's racing number in the future. Kurt emphasized that racing has become a positive outlet for their family, allowing them to stay connected to Kyle's legacy.
