Anti-abortion Group Endorses Darline Graham Nordone After Rival's Support

The Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America Candidate Fund endorsed interim Senator Darline Graham Nordone (R-SC) on August 18, 2026. This endorsement follows a recent endorsement of Rep. Ralph Norman (R-SC) by Students for Life Action, which cited Graham Nordone's perceived lack of commitment to anti-abortion policies. Marjorie Dannenfelser, president of the Susan B. Anthony Fund, praised Graham Nordone's pro-life values and compared her to her late brother, stating that she is committed to justice for unborn children and their mothers. Dannenfelser criticized recent Massachusetts legislation allowing elective abortions at any stage of pregnancy, claiming it reflects extreme policies that the Democrats aim to impose nationwide. Graham Nordone's previous donation to a former state senator who blocked anti-abortion legislation has raised questions about her stance on the issue. In response to the criticism, Graham Nordone affirmed her pro-life position and clarified her support for the former senator was based on her work with the disabled community. Graham Nordone has also received endorsements from Donald Trump and other Republican figures.
